Warranty Terms and Conditions

1.

Definitions

(a) ‘Eurolec’ means Eurolec or any related entity

(b) ‘Appliance’ means any Eurolec product purchased by you;

(c) ‘Warranty Period’ means

    (i) where you use the Appliance for personal, domestic or household purposes
(ii) where you use the Appliance for commercial purposes (any application other than the above)

In general terms, Warranty means;

(a) Two (2) Year Parts and Labour Warranty on purchases of new appliances for domestic use
Exceptions to this are covered in these Warranty terms and conditions.

3. This warranty is subject to the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of Queensland, Australia and only applies to Appliances purchased and used in Australia
4. In addition to all statutory rights that you, the Customer, have under the relevant laws in respect of this Appliance,
during the original warranty period as the original purchaser of this Eurolec Appliance from a Eurolec retail store, we guarantee that any fault caused by faulty material or workmanship becoming apparent will be rectified free of charge for parts and labour, provided that all service is performed during normal work hours by Eurolec or their designated agents. Service outside normal hours may be available at an additional charge. Where the Appliance is installed outside the normal servicing area of the above, the Customer is responsible for costs of transporting the Appliance to and from the agent and/or the agent's travelling cost to and from the Customer's home.
5. All warranties carry a start and end date.  Warranty commences from the date the appliance is delivered and ends two (2) years from this date.  
6. Eurolec’s liability for the product/s, any defect in materials or workmanship, any breach of this Agreement or any
negligence is limited to, at Eurolec’s option to Repair, Replace or pro-rata Refund.  Eurolec will always, subject to the full terms, conditions, and details contained herein, repair your Appliance unless: We cannot repair it; or we cannot obtain the spare parts to repair it; or we can replace it for less than the cost of the repair. We will only replace your Appliance after a qualified Eurolec technician has inspected the Appliance and authorised a replacement. When we have replaced your Appliance with a replacement as determined by and at the sole discretion of Eurolec, the balance of the existing warranty will apply to the replacement Appliance. If we do not repair your Appliance we will either replace it with an Appliance of the same or similar specification at Eurolec's sole discretion or refund on a pro-rata usage basis.  If a replacement is granted, you must pay for delivery and/or installation charges including any fit out changes. We will not be responsible for any costs that you may incur to dispose of your original Appliance.
7. Where you are within a Eurolec service area, this warranty covers the cost of transport of the Appliance to and from
Authorised Service agents of Eurolec and travelling costs for representatives of the Authorised Service Centre to and from your home or business. If you are outside the Eurolec service area, costs will be at your expense.
8. You may be asked to provide proof of purchase before you can make a claim under this warranty.

Eurolec is not responsible for any damage or malfunction unless caused by a defect in material or workmanship. You may not make a claim under this warranty unless the defect claimed is due to faulty or defective parts or
workmanship. Eurolec is not liable in the following situations (which are not exhaustive):

(a) The Appliance is damaged by:

    (i)  accident
(ii) abuse or misuse, improper operation, including failure to properly maintain or service
(iii) normal wear and tear
(iv) power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply
(v)  incomplete or improper installation and transportation damage
(vi) insect or vermin infestation.
 

(b) The Appliance is modified without authority from Eurolec in writing.

(c)  Parts and Appliances not supplied by Eurolec are not covered by this warranty.

(d) The Appliance’s serial number or warranty seal has been removed or defaced.

(e) The Appliance was serviced or repaired by anyone other than Eurolec or its Authorised Service agents.

10. This warranty does not cover replacement of perishable/consumable parts such as light globes, or glass breakage due to impact.  Loan Appliances are not supplied by Eurolec and are not considered part of the warranty offering.
11. We are not responsible for any consequential damages from any malfunction.  The Customer must make the
Appliance available for servicing and shall bear any costs incurred for any de-installation and/or re-installation required to make the Appliance available for servicing. Eurolec is not liable for any consequential damage incurred during de- installation or re-installation.
12. Transferring Your Warranty - Customers can transfer their Eurolec Warranty to a new owner of the appliance as long as the Customer gives written details of the new owner. A Eurolec warranty cannot be transferred to any other
appliance.
13. Exclusion of Third Party Rights - The Eurolec Warranty is for the benefit of the warranty holder only and any permitted transferee and no rights or benefits will be given to any other third party.
14. You acknowledge that in the event that you make a warranty claim it will be necessary for Eurolec and its Authorised Service agents to exchange information to enable Eurolec to meet its obligations under this warranty.
